Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

General

Auxylia is an innovative online therapy platform that enhances psychotherapy by combining secure online therapy sessions with AI-driven smart insights. Designed for both clients and therapists, Auxylia reinforces key therapeutic moments to boost treatment outcomes.

Therapy sessions on Auxylia are conducted securely online. Sessions are recorded solely for transcription purposes, with the recordings deleted immediately afterward. Only text-based transcripts are securely stored to generate AI-driven insights, ensuring privacy and compliance.

After each session, clients receive a 350-word AI-generated insight report to aid reflection and progress, while therapists receive a concise 150-word update. These AI-driven insights are designed to complement professional therapeutic judgment and enhance session effectiveness.

Auxylia is fully GDPR and HIPAA compliant. All data—including session transcripts and AI insights—is stored securely and is only used for its intended purpose. Your information is never shared without explicit consent unless required by law, ensuring your privacy is always maintained.

Client or therapist may cancel a session up to 1 hour before the scheduled start time. If cancelled in time, the session credit is returned to your account. Cancellations made less than 1 hour before the session are not eligible for a refund, ensuring a fair and consistent policy for all users.

Therapists are solely responsible for the content, structure, and conduct of their therapy sessions. Auxylia provides the platform and AI insights, but does not oversee session content.

Subscriptions on Auxylia are billed on a monthly basis and include a set number of therapy sessions per month. Unused sessions do not roll over to the next month. Both clients and therapists can cancel their subscriptions via the Auxylia homepage; however, the subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period with no refunds or prorated payments for mid-cycle cancellations.

Therapists are required to immediately report any safety concerns, such as suicidal ideation or self-harm, to Auxylia. Clients are encouraged to notify their therapist if they experience any safety issues. Please note that Auxylia is not intended for crisis intervention; in urgent situations, appropriate referrals will be provided.

Failure to comply with Auxylia’s Terms and Conditions may lead to the suspension or termination of platform access for both clients and therapists. Therapists must also maintain active membership with their professional body and promptly report any changes in status.

Disputes on Auxylia are initially addressed through mediation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be settled in the courts of England under the governing law of England and Wales.

Auxylia periodically offers limited-time promotional discounts and free trial periods. Free trials provide temporary access to select services, and users automatically transition to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial period ends.

If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact Auxylia’s support team using the contact details provided on our website or through the support section on the platform.

On Auxylia, the subscription model is flexible. The subscriber—whether a therapist or client—is responsible for managing session scheduling and inviting the other party. This approach ensures that AI-assisted therapy insights are accessible to both therapists and clients, making the platform easy to integrate into existing therapy practices.

Accuracy

Auxylia employs advanced speech recognition technology to generate session transcripts with high accuracy. However, factors like background noise or strong accents may occasionally affect the results.

Our AI-driven insights are produced using cutting-edge natural language processing algorithms that capture key themes and actionable steps from your session transcripts. These insights are designed to complement professional therapeutic judgment, enhancing the overall therapy process. We recommend that both therapists and clients review these insights in the context of their complete treatment plan.

To ensure data accuracy, Auxylia continuously refines its algorithms through regular updates and comprehensive quality audits. We also value user feedback, which helps us quickly identify and correct any inconsistencies in both transcripts and AI-generated insights.

If you detect any inaccuracies in your transcript or AI-generated insight report, please reach out to our support team with detailed information about the error. Your feedback is essential to our ongoing efforts to improve the system, and we will work diligently to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.

While our AI-generated insights provide valuable support by highlighting key themes from your therapy sessions, they are intended to complement, not replace, professional clinical judgment. We strongly recommend that both therapists and clients consider these insights alongside direct communication and expert guidance during the therapeutic process.

Ethical Concern

Auxylia strictly adheres to GDPR and HIPAA regulations to protect your data. All client information—including session transcripts and AI-generated insights—is stored securely and handled with the utmost confidentiality. We use your data only for its intended purposes, such as generating insights and improving our platform, and we never share your information without explicit consent unless required by law.

Therapists on Auxylia are required to maintain active membership with recognized professional bodies (such as BACP, UKCP, NCS, or BPS) and adhere to established ethical and professional standards. They must promptly report any safety concerns or changes in their professional status. Auxylia reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if these ethical guidelines are not met.

If you have ethical concerns—such as issues with confidentiality or session content—please first discuss these concerns with your therapist. If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, we encourage you to contact the relevant professional body or Auxylia’s support team for further assistance.

Our AI-driven insights are designed to support and enhance the therapeutic process, not replace professional judgment. Auxylia follows strict ethical guidelines regarding data usage and privacy, ensuring that both clients and therapists are fully informed about how AI is integrated into therapy. These insights serve as an additional tool to reinforce key session points.

In the event of an ethical breach—whether involving data privacy, therapist conduct, or platform misuse—Auxylia will promptly investigate the issue. Depending on the severity, this may lead to the suspension or termination of access, and, if necessary, notification of the appropriate professional regulatory body. Our top priority is to maintain a safe and ethically sound environment for all users.
